Alchemie is a full time, professional band proudly based in Albuquerque that plays original and modern rock and pop. They were nominated for three New Mexico Music Awards in 2017.
Prior to moving to Albuquerque, Nancy Haubrich toured and played in the Midwest and SF Bay Area. Her song "Grandpa's Tree" is the title track for a 75th Reunion DVD for the town of Lancaster, Minnesota. She wrote, produced and recorded the Postcard Home CD with Bob Danielson, and recently wrote "Straight Outta Kittson," a hip-hop song dedicated to her home county in Minnesota that raised funds for the Kittson County Historical Society.
For 15 years, Bob Danielson was the principal drummer for the world renowned "Beach Blanket Babylon" in San Francisco, the longest-running musical revue in theater history. He has also toured the United States and played extended engagements in England and Japan.
"Alchemie... spawns excitement with vocals, Haubrich's keyboard, and Danielson's drum kit, while managing, at times, to sound like a much larger band... Though the title [of their latest album, Dark] reflects the subject matter, the music is sweet, and the warmth of Haubrich's voice softens the songs' edges."
