We are excited to be partnering with the Santa Fe Library for a second time on Santa Fe Reads! This year's book is Circe by Madeline Miller, with additional alternate selections for younger readers.
Our adventure begins on Saturday, April 20 at the Teen Center and the Southside Public Library. Join us for an afternoon of family fun activities, giveaway books, and a community concert featuring Wendy Rule. Experience your glorious self in front of expansive wings by artist Carrie Mae Rose and listen to her artist talk (12 noon). All are welcome to attend the free celebration! Copies of Circe and the youth companion titles are available to check out from the Library and available free to take at all Santa Fe Reads programs and events. There will be many copies of the selected books available as giveaway at the kick-off.
Our journey's end is a culminating event with the Santa Fe International Literary Festival on Thursday, May 16, featuring a conversation with Madeline Miller and a live opening performance by Teatro Paraguas. This event will be held at the Santa Fe Community Convention Center.

Wendy's last album, Persephone, was the culmination of over twelve years' work, and unlike anything that she had done before. Sung partly in Greek, with subtle textures that reference her early life as a jazz singer, and with the trademark dark, gothic soundscapes and souring vocals of her previous 7 major albums, Persephone is an ambitious and unique 24 track journey through the realms of Life, Death, and human emotion.
