The Alasdair Fraser Band is doing a mini-residency with us that includes concerts in both Albuquerque and Santa Fe, as well as a variety of community outreach activities.

Alasdair Fraser is excited to announce he will be touring this year with Galen Fraser and María San Miguel, of San Miguel Fraser, well as his younger son Cameron Fraser on guitar! 

Legendary Scottish fiddler Alasdair Fraser's musical journey is entering a new and deeply personal chapter alongside the next generation of his family. With his son Galen Fraser, Galen's wife María San Miguel, and his son Cameron Fraser, the music once again takes on new colors and possibilities. Galen and María bring the distinctive voice of the San Miguel Fraser duo, drawing together Scottish, Spanish and contemporary influences with original composition and a highly personal approach to the fiddle. Cameron's guitar adds another dimension, bringing rhythmic energy, harmonic freedom and a fresh instrumental perspective to the ensemble. Together, the four musicians create a meeting place between generations, traditions and musical personalities. The older Scottish repertoire that has accompanied Alasdair throughout his life sits alongside his own compositions, the evolving music of Galen and María, and the distinctive guitar voice of Cameron. Rather than simply revisiting the past, the ensemble allows the tradition to continue doing what it has always done at its best: change, absorb, converse and renew itself.
