This is the first time Daniel and Tia have performed for us, and the first female musician we've had on the Masters program.
Four-time Grammy-winner, master slack key guitarist George Kahumoku Jr., known as "Hawai‘i’s Renaissance Man," is also a multiple Na Hōkū Hanohano Award winner. Vocalist, storyteller, songwriter, artist, and farmer, he is the producer of the long-running, weekly Slack Key Show on Maui. Among his most popular guest artists: 6-time Grammy winner Daniel Ho, a multi-instrumentalist and composer, whose versatile talents shine through on ‘ukulele, slack key guitar, piano, and vocals. International star and two-time Grammy winner Tia Carrere first made her name showcasing her considerable singing and acting chops in "Wayne's World." She went on to featured roles in film and television, returning to her Hawai‘i roots with her Grammy-winning albums with Daniel Ho. Together, the trio shares great playing, beautiful songs, and delightful stories of their lives in music.
