Thanks to the New Mexico Music Commission and the Friends of the Public Library for funding these library shows!
Register for the event and we'll send you updates if there are any schedule changes, as well as info on future free programs and other events around Santa Fe and Albuquerque.
Andrea Magee (from Beat Root Revival, She Rises and Music Helps founder) is in town for a KRQE interview. We figured we'd throw a little women in music party to celebrate. Catch a program with three cool Albuquerque-based female musicians to get in the She Rises spirit!
Liz Howdy, Shae and Andrea will all be performing at She Rises in Taos on August 31. Click here for info on She Rises!
Liz Howdy (she/they) is a Diné person residing in occupied Tiwa territory, also known as "Albuquerque." Howdy incorporates voice, bass, and buffalo hand drum to create music she refers to as having "hózhó medicine vibes" that reflects her journey as a modern indigenous person powered by ancestral resilience.
Stella Martinez is a member of the band Gunsafe, which brings a fire to country and folk that has more to do with punk than honky tonk.
Cee Mo is synthy soul vibes with powerful vocals and dreamy dance beats.
